Originally I was disappointed that I'd be missing Live 8 do to a rare case of Social Life-itus, but it sounds like I didn't miss much.  I was able to watch about 3 minutes of a Killers performance before it got cut so that we could catch up with a pair of talking assholes who segued into a commercial.  Wow, riveting television.

The wedding was wonderful.  It really was.  I never enjoyed myself so much at another person's formal event.  For the most part all of the "friends and family" crowd were lovely people and no one bothered me too much.  Many, many people approached me and asked me if I was related to the groom, but I should be used to that by now; seriously, even I ( Read more... )
