How often do learn that your favourite author, whose books and stories take your breath away, who explores gender, sexuality, race, anarchy, politics, utopic/dystopic futures, animal rights, etc etc etc etc in her writings in fascinating and astute ways... how often do you learn that said author also wrote your favourite children's books?!?!?
So yesterday I got a tattoo of a winged cat on my leg for various fun reasons, but mostly in the loving memory of one of my most treasured, long-lost, dimly-remembered childhood series, "Catwings". I googled it today.

Okay, for reals people, I want to move into a cabin in the forests of Oregon and raise kittens with this woman.
Or at least have tea with her one day.
ps I also got a tattoo of a unicorn. A rather large one.
