so i seem to have this running trend of updating my live journal about
once a month. whatever, im going to run with it. here's a brief
overview of what's been going:
- the winter break was nice and much needed. i didn't get to
see everyone that i wanted to, but i did get to spend some quality time
with the old high school buddies, well most of them anyway.
- i went to a show for the first time in 6 months. it felt so
much like high school, seeing all those kids together at the same time.
i got to see logan which was really exciting since we don't talk as
much anymore. school and other things really get in the way of staying
in touch with people. i need to work on that. carousel shy rocked as
usual. i felt really old when i left though, like things would never
really be the same again. it was still fun.
- christmas was good. all the family came over to my house and i
got to hang out with them as well as michael peters and his brother.
that was fun. its so amusing how everything becomes a competition
between boys. i don't get it. i thought you had to be in elementary
school to invent games, but apparently not.
- went swing dancing. well, i watched because i hurt my foot which
may end up being fractured. i'm supposed to go to the doctor soon.
- i got an iPod! finally. its the new 30G video one and i love it.
alex lonnecker went with me to buy it and then we had lunch together.
it was alot of fun. i really missed him.
- news years was spent at my uncle's house with michael. it was
fun. we had a campfire and roasted marshmallows and rode around on
their 4 wheeler which was tons of fun. it was also good to get to know
michael a bit better. it seems that as much as we've been hanging out
lately, we really don't know each other that well. ( don't worry laura,
you're still the coolest Peters :0) by a long shot. )
- so unfortunately i had to come back to Baylor on the 3rd of
January. but it was all worth it. here is the most important reason for
this entry: I AM IN A SORORITY!! weird isnt it? anyway, im so excited
and i love the girls and am so anxious to find out what we're going to
do the rest of the year. it is something i completely wouldn't see
myself doing, but i did and i am so happy. and now, i get to show a bit
of pride:
I am a proud member of:
Kappa Delta
Epsilon Chi Chapter
Pledge Class of 2006
so yeah, i'm a sorority girl. but im not going to be one of those
stereotypical stuck up, my boyfriend is in a fraternity, wearing pearls
everyday girl. no, i only wear pearls every other day. haha. just
kidding. sort of. its just something that i can be a part of and maybe
even have a sense of family with. i thought after i left high school
and more importantly yearbook, that that was going to the end of the
"family" feel for me. we'll see where this takes me i guess.
