I blame anw for this. He waited until I was in an inebriated state, then plied me with talk about my Mini-Who icons and about Richard Briers making a guest appearance in Torchwood. These twin thoughts entered my frazzled head, and guess what retro-televisual mutation popped out?

Yes, it's a set of mini-icons based on The Good Life (a.k.a. Good ( Read more... )

They're all good, but the Richard Briers one is terrific.

Paul Eddington was honoured at my degree ceremony, on the grounds that he'd once spent a few months in rep, here in Sheffield. The Vice-Chancellor made a very gushing speech, and poor Paul looked deeply embarrassed.

Hurray! Utterly perfect. But will you re-use this Richard Briers in the next set of Torchwood icons?

That rather depends on what Richard Briers looks like when he turns up in Torchwood. For all I know, he may be playing someone who's bright purple with two heads, in which case a spot of picture editing will be required.

I'm not going to write a fanfic in which the 1970s incarnation of Torchwood detect extraterrestrial goings-on in the Goods' goat shed and Captain Jack ends up gatecrashing one of Margo's dinner parties, resulting in an accidental orgy of peapod wine and wifeswapping, with hilarious consequences. No. I'm not. (I shall be fiddling with transparent PNGs instead, like a good girl.)

That rather depends on what Richard Briers looks like when he turns up in Torchwood. Well, remembering his appearance in Dr Who, we may have to cover our eyes :)

'm not going to write a fanfic in which the 1970s incarnation of Torchwood detect extraterrestrial goings-on in the Goods' goat shed... Give me one good reason why not (and don't you think Margo would make a wonderful companion on Who?)
