Infinity On High is one of the few CDs that I don't actually own the hard copy for. This means I have never read the lyrics, which have been left to my own interpretation. I am chronically VERY BAD at identifying the correct lyrics to songs, especially Fall Out Boy's, because Patrick, while he has an amazing voice, needs to learn to ENUNCIATE.
I was googling the
lyrics to Fame
"I'm a preacher, sweating in the pews
For the south action I'm bringing you..."
Apparently its salvation. Which, you know, makes sense.
Also, I had always thought that one of the lines was
"When I'm home alone I just can't stop myself.
When you pull my hips so close, but you know that the truth is...."
The first line is used in the second chorus, but the first chorus has "When I'm home alone I just dance by myself" which I had never noticed. The second line, however, is meant to be "And you pull my head so close, volume goes with the truth".
Huh.
I personally think that my interpretation is sexier, but, whatever, I didn't write the song.
*I know this is an unreliable internet source etc, but it's the best one I can find. I cross checked with some other sites and they all had similar lyrics.
