I swore to myself that when I started this journal, I wouldn't end up posting emo poetry in it, 'cause I would end up regretting it in a few years. Well, too bad. I was trying to explain to myself what My Chem's songs were about, besides bloodbloodgorehateblooddeathhopebloodblood. While I don't think this is what ALL their songs are about, I feel like that kind of sums up a large portion, especially their earlier stuff. Anyway, my brain went off and wrote this, which turned out looking a bit like a smushed amalgamation of half of Three Cheers (*cough*hang'emhigh). So here's to the requisite 'poetry' of every teen journal.


Tomorrow

after you and I die
we'll go speeding off
into the sunset
dead straight
down the highway.
and as the horizon
engulfs the sun,
we'll go down with it
in flames.
you and me
me and you.
we'll do it all again.
tomorrow.

It's actually more like prose but whatever.
