Vid rec: Merlin- Shake It Out
I stopped watching Merlin after S2, but with all this free time and excitement on my f-list I might get back into it. Or at least, mainline the 3rd season and see how I feel after that. It's a bit too ridiculous sometimes, ngl, but I think I need something a bit stupid. (Who knows? It might turn out to be epic good all of a sudden.... but I doubt it. Oh, Merlin.)
Movie rec: The Dish
The moon landing from the perspective of Australian small-town Parkes, NSW. Written by the people who made The Castle, so, a science movie written by comedians. Definitely my kind of thing. Funny, and sweet, and also a GIANT FREAKING RADIO TELESCOPE, it was magnificent. Oh, and a great soundtrack with only Australian artists, I think. I hadn't heard of this movie until my mum hired it, and since I had nothing else to do (lol so bored) I watched- don't regret it at all!
Song rec: Cameo Lover by Kimbra
KIMBRA *__________* I first saw her in Gotye's video for Somebody I Used To Know, and really, naked Kimbra's not a bad thing to discover on any given day, but her music she makes herself is so good! So catchy! And her voice on slower songs. I can just get lost watching her 'Live at Sing Song Studios' videos on youtube, I don't know what it is but it's smooth and sleek and a bit deep and ugh.

I bought a lovely dress for the upcoming formal and I just gotta stop feeling insecure about how it looks and what it does for my body, and just feel happy about it. I'm still feeling all sorts of conflicted about making art for the reversebigbang, and maybe it was a bad idea to jump into it straight after finishing school and exams, etc. But then again, you regret more what you didn't do that what you did, right? I'll try and give working on it a proper shot today.
Since finishing my exams I've also gotten back onto tumblr. I made up a new password (that I'd easily forget) and wrote it down on a sheet of paper about a month ago to stop me from using it during the exam period, but when I went back today to log in it accepted my original password instead of the new one. So, I don't know what's up with that. I'm not feeling all TUMBLR I MISSED YOU about it- but I've put enough things into my queue to last me till next Sunday so it must be doing something right. I've tried to keep the balance <50% MCR for the sake of my non-bandom friends. See how considerate I am?
(Aside: I thought Americans didn't use the word 'queue' but it's used by Tumblr- what's up with that?)
