Ich muss geröntgt werden. That word..."geröntgt", due to how it sounds, is probably the worst word in German (besides "das Handy" of course.) I've had a kidney stone for a couple weeks now. Erm...actually it's "geröngt" and I do not have a problem with pronouncing that! It's probably northern "style", same as "Hamburch". :)

Are you sure it's a kidney stone? This sounds rather bad...

Umm...the doc seems really sure it's a kidney stone...I don't know...I'm just not that worried. We'll find out in a week or so for sure.

I looked it up in the all-time greatest German dictionary (Duden :)) and it says there:

röntgen (mit Röntgenstrahlen durchleuchten); du röntgst; sie wurde geröngt

So when you add werde/wurde there is no t before the g/after the n :)

I was not that sure anymore when I read oh_carolina's comment... since I tend to be wrong with corrections :)

ich sage auch "geröntgt" und "hamburg" und "honig" statt "geröntcht", "hamburch" und "honich". bah, schrecklich. ich hätte niemals in den norden ziehen sollen ;-)
