Ich muss geröntgt werden. That word..."geröntgt", due to how it sounds, is probably the worst word in German (besides "das Handy" of course.) I've had a kidney stone for a couple weeks now. I keep peeing blood. Pain comes and goes but never escalates to anything even remotely close to what I experienced with my first kidney stone. This damn thing just isn't moving. So tomorrow, I get to be geröntgt. Geröntgt means x-rayed, but since 'tgt' isn't a natural coda in German, the word ends up sounding like 'geröncht'...which sounds a tad too much like some evil transylvanian doctor saying 'crunched' drawn out and with a thick and sinister accent. It just gives me a visual picture of being lain out on a table, and somehow pulverized with x-rays or a baler. My appointment's at 10:40 tomorrow morning. I'd rather be in Icelandic.

In other news, I'm really bad at translating German into Swedish...but I'm sort of not surprised.
