Off to the State Fair
Today I'm leaving to go to the KS State Fair. Tomorrow I'll be at the KU table..yay for being part of the crew representing KU! I've looked over the list of folks who will be there and I think it's good to have the tattooed lesbian library workers be a part of the deal :-) One other person who's been there already said it's interesting how other folks in the state view KU. It can be kinda negative from the smaller towns in western KS. Then there's folks who LOVE KU and will wave at you randomly. I'm looking forward to it, just for the new experience alone! Gotta havea Pronto Pup (corn dog) and some cotton candy. Marie has suggested eating at Bogey's, a decent burger & shake place, for this evening.
I'll be driving down this afternoon--leaving around 3. I hope the "official State car" is okay. It better have a tape player at least, since I've got my selection already made!
