lazy saturday
i very nearly lazed my entire saturday away: pulling myself out of bed only at 11am, spending the whole afternoon re-watching ai4shang4 yi2ge4 nu2zhu3bo1 (korean drama series) with ck and emerging from the house only at 6pm because of a pre-arranged dinner date with a few stanford friends. conversation topics have changed now that almost everyone has started work ... it used to be about projects, professors, homework, buying SFO-SIN air tickets but now dinner-time talk centres around job responsibilities, pay, ways to train up for NS, what time our bosses leave the office, corporate handphone/internet/petrol plans. and while we did try to keep talk about work to a minimum, it was hard to keep the conversation from drifting in that direction ... afterall, what have most of us been doing for the most part of the past few weeks? work.
so i got carried away chattering on the MRT ride home on saturday night that i didn't notice that we had passed bedok. so when the train drew up at tanah merah, i turned to james saying, "erm how? i think you missed your stop." but i guess he really meant it when he told ck at city hall that he'd make sure that i got home safely. never expected the boyfriend's friend to do something like that ... was really touched.

publicity for a chinese orchestra concert happening on 8 august 2004, 5pm.
am probably appealing to a very small pool, since i can count with one hand the number of blog-readers who are interested in chinese orchestra music, but all the same, try i will to raise awareness about the concert. let me know if you are keen, or better still, surprise me backstage that day.
