lost and found

lost my office laptop due to pure carelessness but thanks to the sheer good-heartedness of an smrt cab-driver, i got it back intact the very next day. unimaginable relief ... this kind of stress and worrying is worse than work-induced anxiety because it is coupled with the guilt of losing something that doesn't belong to you and putting the organisation at risk (official documents! confidential briefs!). also, knowing that i would surely get a horrible shelling from the big boss over this didn't make things better. it's been a mentally draining week in this respect. i'm glad it ended off on a sweet note tonight with the 619 dinner at werner's oven (again!) and dessert at xin wang hong kong cafe just across the road ... and also realising that xy stays "just down the (long straight) road" from me.
we have muffins for breakfast tomorrow! :D
