WTF-BBQ!
What the hell did they do to the LJ iPad app? They turned it into a phone-only app, and now it's just useless! It only displays in Portrait format, and I use my iPad 99.9% of the time in Landscape mode. SO right now, I've got the iPad propped as normal on my lap, but the words are being typed sideways up the edge of my screen. I hate it. I may have to go back to doing LJ exclusively via my web browser. The most rotten thing is that I was not asked if I wanted to update my LJ app. I did NOT give permission for this upgrade to happen.
I am quite, quite angry. Quite.
Also, I can't see my avatar icon, and I'm not sure if I can see others on my Friends feed or not. Come on, personalized icons are a huge part of the LJ experience.
I guess if you haven't left LJ yet, they want to put a boot in your ass to help you out the door. Then again, if most of their users are in Russia, I'll bet they don't have that many tablets there vs. smart phones.
Grumble, grumble, grumble.
EDIT: My web comics don't display either. I almost cried, when I went to LJ via Safari, the same awful interface was displayed, HUGE print, awful display. When I clicked on this entry to edit it, the webpage reverted to my normal theme and display. *Phew*
Still not at all happy about this.
