Oh wow, thanks for catching that, Sasuke! There must be some sort of equipment on board that shouldn't be, don't you think? Something scientific, or a weapon, or...something.

Maybe something that messes with time?

Luck, more than anything.

Orion knew the ship was over-made for what it was supposed to be; so did Ganymede, and he further knew people were on board under assumed professions which were not their own. That he'd go the final step toward activating whatever the ship was truly capable of, in light of his egoism, isn't hard to believe.

And if it messes with time...

Then that might be why we're in this mess.

Yes. Which leaves us with the question of "it." What "it" is, and where "it" can be located -- and if "it" was as simple as navigation coordinates, or something else built in to the ship.

I wonder if there's any reason he's in that particular place when he makes his decision.

I've been considering that, too.

I think another good question is if "it" can be deactivated.

[blinks] Wait. "It's on level 3." That keeps coming up. What if whatever it is is there?

Two levels to go, if "it" is. We can access down to level five; the process has been speedier from before.

Yeah, I noticed that. And didn't three and four open other together, last time 'round?

[redpaperfan]

I believe so. Three was crew quarters, first time around, wasn't it?

[ Trying to remember the evidence of an old fight, bloodstains, and messages on the walls. ]

Yeah. Uh...I lost my memories of those levels after the first time, but the Doctor's filled me in. And just because we didn't find anything there that time doesn't mean it isn't hidden somewhere on that level.

Being better informed this time helps.

That's true. When that level opens up, we need to check everything there.
