leaving on a jet plane
my uncle john sent us a message before he boarded his flight to the u.s. today:
here i am in the vip lounge at gatwick airport just waiting for the takeoff. having a wee dram and a rest.

it'll be weeks before he makes it out to the left coast, but i'm already excited to see him. of course it will be strange to see him without my aunt jean somewhere close by. still, excited!
