(almost) free massage for willing victims
local people, it's that time again -- i've finished a few more massage classes, and i'm looking for people who would like to lend me their bodies to practice on. additionally, and here's the "not exactly free" part, if you like my work, i'd appreciate a referral. (otoh, if you feel my work could use improvement, i'd appreciate your feedback about what i can do to get better.) if you're interested, please leave a comment, or send me email to rednfiery@livejournal.com.
some additional details about my offer:
* one 60-minute massage session, during which i will work on your problem areas, and also reserve a bit of time to practice my new skills on areas that maybe aren't so problematic for you.
* a variety of modalities will be used (as appropriate for your body): deep tissue, myofascial release, stretching, conscious body work, swedish massage.
* this is an out-call session, either in your home or at your workplace -- all i need is enough room for my table and for me to move around it.
* my referral request can be satisfied in a number of ways, some of which i'm in the process of figuring out, so i'll let you know more about that part when we set up your appointment.
* if you've volunteered before, you can still volunteer again. this isn't a one-time-only kind of offer. at least, not yet. :)
please note that if you're a person who is uncomfortable getting massage (or anything else really) for free, but you'd still like to take me up on my offer, i'm happy to accept baked goods or other food, some reciprocal service/skill from you, gas money, my sliding scale rate, etc. let's talk!
