truly a first
my girls are still sleeping...both of them. while sleeping late is a normal heather trait (it goes perfectly with staying up late), amanda has NEVER shown any inclination to sleep past, oh, maybe 8am at the latest. typically, she's a 7am kid. you can (almost) set your clock by her usual sleeping/waking schedule.
i checked on them a little while ago, when i went downstairs to make tea, just to make sure they were still breathing. haven't resorted to that trick in a helluva long time.
i'm hesitant to wake them -- they had a full social calendar for most of the last week, with parties and sleepovers and fairs and having friends over. i guess it finally caught up to them.
i'm kinda bored though. definitely not used to being in this situation -- having to be quiet in my own house.
