I have tweeted a tease yesterday. I have been working on a Fannish project for the last seven years and can finally say success. I am part of Otakon staff for this year as part of Staff Pool. It is where many starting staffers begin in Otakon's chain

I don't know if being an Otakon staffer was ever really a goal of mine to begin with. I mean when Aaron Clark (last year's Panels Dept. head) asked me why I wasn't staff in 2009, it sorta bugged me a little. I know I've probably worked just as many years and hours as you as an Otakon gofer--more or less--but I've never really let the issue settle with me on that point.

Suffice to say, I'm not sure what my plans are for Otakon this year. Whether I will go as an attendee is probably dependent on my own personal situation for the most part (work, family obligations, finances, hotel booking, vacation time scheduling, etc.)

Of course, I guess congratulations are in order for you attaining a personal goal of sorts, although, my feeling on that same goal can be a little damning with some faint praise thrown in. My feeling, though, is probably that I know too many people already on Otakon staff for me to become an actual Otakon staffer myself (le sigh...)

So, yeah...good luck and all that.
