A lull in the fannish life and other things

I am at a fannish lull right now.  Katsucon Registration staff will be all at con type of work.  Anime USA 2009 is all at con work (due to having the section head manage all functions of pre-con for Events B instead of me).  T-MODE 2010 will involve alot of early planning (to have a schedule set by the Middle of March For the Program Book and Pocket Guide), but is more at a creating ideas stage than actually getting permissions and executing.  That means I am at a fannish lull and that scares me.  I know T-MODE and Anime USA will make me busy, but I don't quite know which weekends they will between now and Anime USA .  I am a far planner type due to getting Train Tickets for the meetings (instead of Driving to meetings).  I hope I get an idea soon of which weekends I need to keep open due to wanting to go Zenkaikon for the first time.

I am most likely going to my first Zenkaikon (November 7th and 8th at the Radisson Valley Forge outside Philly) this year.  I have the badge bought and the hotel room is reserved (on the bet that Anime USA won't schedule a meeting the same weekend as Nekocon and Zenkaikon).  It will be a little different experience because this is an up and coming convention.  Last year, it doubled in attendance from 570 to 1350.  I wonder how much it will grow this year.  This could be a convention that will need to go to downtown Philadelphia, but that is at least a few years from now.  It is also the only two day anime convention that I know of and it works very well for them. Fridays are usually a much quieter day than Saturday and Sunday at a convention are.

This weekend is going to Dover for the Nascar Sprint Cup Race.  Mom will be going with me to enjoy some time at the slot Machines.  We are going to park at an outer lot and take a bus into the place (will probably make it easier coming back, also).  I will be able to root for Kurt Busch (who is currently fifth in the Sprint Cup standings) try to win at a very tough track for him.  It is also the playoffs for Sprint Cup, so that should make for a good weekend.  It will make for doing Laundry on Saturday, hoping that the rain doesn't come and a very early Sunday (out the door at about 7:30 AM).
