2005: A Year in Review
Notable Things that Happened This Year:
~ Java Jam 2005: Red Moon's 2nd consecutive appearance at the LMHS Annual Java Jam (February 10, 2005)
~ Taking part in "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum" as a chorus member (March 3-5, 2005)
~ Band Trip 2005: Taking a day cruise to the Bahamas from Fort Lauderdale with the funniest cruise director known to man, Carloid, dubbed "Funny Guy" by Liz and me. Performing and spending a day at SeaWorld and going to Medieval Times, competing in the All Star Music Festival, spending the day in Universal Studios Orlando, and finding out the Symphonic Band got a Superior rating! (March 15-20, 2005)
~ Going on my first date, which happened to be a blind date, but it ended up not going too well. (May 13, 2005)
~Selling raffle tickets at Band Banquet (May 18, 2005)
~Working the snack stand for Art Club at the District Arts Festival (May 19, 2005)
~ Performing with the Symphonic Band in the Music in the Parks adjudication at Kutztown University and receiving a Superior rating (May 20, 2005)
~ Sophomore class trip to Washington, D.C.: Getting "lost" in D.C. with Atira and Liz but managing to find our way to the Smithsonian with the help of a map, and eating dinner at the Cheesecake Factory in Baltimore with Steph, Kelly, and Jamie. (May 24, 2005)
~ Ben's Bar Mitzvah: My little brother is now a "man!" (May 28, 2005)
~ Graduation 2005: Performing with select members of the Symphonic Band and distributing cards/having pictures taken with my senior buddies (June 8, 2005)
~ Seeing Hanson perform at the Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, NJ: Meeting people from Hanson.net, hanging out with Nicole E. and Cait, almost getting caught by security for giving my demo to Sean, the lead singer of Gibbler (the opening band), and being there to see Hanson's last show on the Underneath Tour! (June 10, 2005)
~ Performing a solo show at Brew HaHa (June 17, 2005)
~ Performing a duo show at Keswick Coffee with Liz (June 23, 2005)
~ Working at PRAMUS Day Camp as an assistant counselor to the youngest campers (June 25- August 5, 2005)
~ Seeing Rick Recht in concert and talking to Rick afterwards to find out he recognized me after not having seen him for 3 years! (July 21, 2005)
~ Spending 3 awesome weeks at French Woods Festival of the Performing Arts (August 7-28, 2005)
~ Running into Tim (from South Africa) at a mall in my area (September 3, 2005)
~ Seeing "Hairspray" at the Merriam Theater in downtown Philly (September 11, 2005)
~ Seeing the Improv All-Stars at the Keswick Theater with Charlotte and her mom (October 2, 2005)
~ Meeting and giving my demo to Hanson, Pat McGee, and Marcus (from El Toro) at their show at the Trocadero in downtown Philly; getting a hug from Taylor Hanson; meeting/buying merch from Jessica Hanson and meeting up with a ton of other fellow Fansons! (October 28, 2005)
~ Discovering BLue/JennK Boutique and meeting Jenn and Billy for the first time (November 3, 2005)
~ A very successful run of "The Emperor's New Clothes": Wearing an annoying red wig but getting tons of laughs and applause from the audience! (November 4-5, 2005)
~Finding out I was casted as Ethel McCormack in "Footloose" (November 15, 2005)
~Getting positive feedback about my demo CD from Billy (December 2, 2005)
~ 4 hours of games, dessert, and conversation at Liz's house (December 30, 2005)
