Halloween and Boston Vegetarian Food Festival

Oct 31, 2010 14:16

Last night we joined up with captial_l and technolope to go out to Arlington for a Halloween gathering. As within our friend circle, it was a low-key affair -- fdmts wore a taco costume (with sombrero!), and I wore a Medicine / Science officer outfit from Start Trek TNG. (Just couldn't suspend disbelief all THAT much!!) Much fun and good food was had by all, with a return home around 1 in the morning (egad, I'm OLD).

This morning, we got up, just feeling off -- maybe something of the 5,000 things we ate yesterday? -- and bummed about for a bit, then headed to the much anticipated Boston Vegetarian Food Festival. We've gone about 2 years ago, and were heinously overcrowded, and the extreme leftists were in high abundance. This year, we took the T from the house, got there around 11am, and had much more time / space to examine the exhibits and chat with people. I actually paid dues to BVS -- since I benefit from their programming, I figured it was only right -- and got a T-shirt.
