So I visited Villanova today for Early Action Candidates Day and I had a great time. The car ride wasn't bad, considering I slept the whole time. I went with my dad (my mom had to bring Bridget to freshman signups!) When we went to sign in I saw Katy. We then went with Katy to the next information session and Chris was right behind us so the three of us got to stay together for most of the day. I wasn't really looking forward to the tour since I had been on one before but I got a whole new perspective on the school and I was with Chris and Katy.
Towards the end of the day, my dad and I ditched the last sessions and went over to Bryn Mawr. My dad was a graduate there...obviously not undergraduate since it's all girls. We walked around the campus--it was a beautiful campus--and he even got to see one of his teachers. Then we rushed back to mass at Vanillanova (as Katy called it.) And then I slept once again in the car.
I like the school a lot more now and if I get the Presidential scholarship I will probably go there. However, there was one big thing that freaked me out. The students from the Math & Science department who talked to us pretty much told us that if we major in one of those fields, we won't have time for much more. In other words, we won't have a life. Chris is now thinking of being pre med but majoring in business. I want to continue with softball and violin in college. I don't want my whole college experience to consist of classes and schoolwork. Maybe that won't apply to me though since Math doesn't include labs. I'm going to have to look into that.
I can't wait to go to whichever college I choose. I felt like a college student walking around the campus and I was even mistaken for one. I almost just wanted to stay there and not go back to high school on Monday. Oh well, there's only half a year left. Which reminds me, went up about four points overall on my report card this quarter. I was so happy and surprisingly, my parents were too!
And finally, I got into St. Joe's in Philly! 3 down, 5 to go...
