Voice Acting is Awesome
Apparently, I need to play Dragon Age II.
Going through the wiki to see how I can get by Awakening from the first game (yes, I'm a tad behind on things), I find out the romance options for Dragon Age II. Merrill seems to be a good choice for my female Hawke, when I get around to putting the disc in, and I was just perusing down her page to see what sort of character she'll be, without ruining too many of the details. Now guess what I saw in the notes?
"According to David Gaider, Eve Myles was last on the list of 'actors I specifically asked for and got on the first try'."
Wait, the Eve Myles? There's only one, right?

Yup, there's only one. The Eve Myles from Torchwood voice acts for Bioware as Merrill. Totally did not know that and I completely had a "what the fuck?" moment. Still having it, actually. Apparently, I need to start Dragon Age II now and romance Gwen Merrill.
This may sound silly and ridiculous but these things are srs bsns in video games. Really. Go check out the Bioware forums and see how vicious some people can get over who your character romances, not to mention the horrible fights over "should everyone be bi even if not everyone is bi (but I'm not homophobe)...even if this is sci-fi/fantasy video game...." I hate those. Why can't everyone be bi? Seriously?
Oh, and voice acting is cool! *suddenly wishes the NY Giants weren't playing Green Bay*
