For the love of 2nd hand shopping

This Relay for life event has different theemed laps...   One of which is a "Time period" lap.  Some of us in the team got to talking about it, and decided that it would be fun to do a hippie / 1960's theam for that lap.

Problem = I don't have a really colorful tie dyed shirt.  So, I decided to go to mu local 2nd had store.

... It's a fabulous place!

I walked in and headed straight for the men's t-shirts.   I came to a rack of long sleeved shirts... all aranged in rainbow/color order!! {glee}!!  I know... such a beautiful store!  :-)

As I was thumbing thought eb hangers, I came sccross a shirth that had diseptively seemed to be solind purple.  It was in fact a blue, purple and teal swirl of a tie dyed shirt!  I snatched it from the rack and happily noticed that it was plenty big for me.  (Yes, as a matter of fact, I do like to hide in my clothes... thank you very much!)  However, I thn noticed that this shirt was used to advertize for an imjectable pharmapsudical product.  But, it's not like there is a bunch of ugly ads... there us only a really small logo on the front of the shirt, and a larger patch on of screen printed wrighting on the inside of one arm.

So, dispite the advertisments... the colors won me over - along with the less than $2 price tag.  The shit became mine!  Along with 2 other really neat, long sleeved T-shirts.  Then, while looking around (because,  how does one go to a 2nd hand store and NOT browse...) I found a red toille purse for less and $3.  That too became mine, as I have been wanting a red purse for a long ltime.

After I was purchaseing these items, I realised that I had forgotten to look over the jewelery case.  After I had paid for my current haul of treasures, I took a moment to gaze at the jewelery case as I was leaving.  What to my wondering eyes did I see... a pin that was a heart-shaped lock, with a tiny key dangeling from it.

OnceI found that this adorable trinket was les than $2, I could not let it be an orphan any longer!  This is a perfect accessorie for my outfits out at Renaissance Festival.

Yay me!  Second hand shopping ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
