I always seem to have one kind of crisis or another on the go. And if I don't, there's always a conflict with my parents to fall back on, like a rebellious 15-year-old. I find it increasingly difficult to connect with the world outside of my head, which makes homework, class attendance, chores, social activities, even just waking. The real world seems secondary. Unfortunately, my alternate world doesn't pay bills, earn diplomas or provide satisfactory sex. Oops.
Experiment #1:
Objective: To find a suitable means by which to drown out my head and concentrate on work.
Materials: iPod
Method: 1. play music while doing work. Namely pattern drafting which involves little to no words so I don't wind up writing lyrics into assignments.
