I have come to the conclusion

We really fall in love with ourselves-
That we choose particular people
Because they provide
The particular mirrors
In which we wish to see.

After I had broken a few
Very fine mirrors

It's amazing how poems I liked when I was much younger continue to strike me every time I read them
I miss reading poetry, writing poetry. I miss being immersed in words and reveling in the feel of the way they can roll across your body, your mind, your very soul, and touch you in a way that nothing else ever has and ever will. Only words can reach me the way they do.
Maybe I should have been a humanities major.
