Even when they're behind, some horses manage to pull ahead for a shocking, yet beautifully stunning, victory.
Today has maybe been one of my most academically disappointing days since I've arrived at Georgia. There is a very large possibility, after looking at the answer key, that my chemistry final went so poorly as to drop my grade from a 104 to somewhere in the midB range. I needed a 56 to keep my A. This means, boys and girls, that I will have most definitely failed my first exam ever. I think I may try and drink myself into oblivion tonight...or not, seeing as whenever I do that I lose all semblance of control and would probably cry over finals week.
However, there have been a couple bright spots in my day. In chronological order:
1. Brent came to my room before the final this morning, picked me up out of my bed, and asked me to go to breakfast with him.
2. Brent came to my room after the final and lay in bed with me after my exam until I fell asleep.
3. I woke up to John Patton calling me back. Finally, a returned phone call.
4. I woke up again to Matt Adams calling me to see how my test was. After I told him how poorly I did, he commiserated with me, which was lovely.
5. Once I looked at the answer key to find that I may have truly failed my chemistry exam, Brent came to my room and held me for a long time.
So, yay for those.
