Mai's pants are fitted.
All that is left is the top. Then her wig (where did I put that thing anyway?). And I can knock her off my cosplay list.
I am still having trouble with the damn petticoat. It's got lots of volume on the bottom but hardly any at the top. I've been told putting a short layer of crinoline at the top will fix the problem. We shall see. If that fails, I'll pick up some petticoat tulle. (Crinoline is wonderful stuff. It kept my sleeves poofy no matter how much I shoved them under and through my sewing machine.)
And I still need to style Ariel's wig and finish her hair accessories. T-T The earrings are done at least. I wonder if I can get my nails to grow long enough before con without breaking.
I should be attaching the skirt to the top on the pink dress in a few days, after I finish refitting Mai's jacket. May I never have to do another refitting on her costume again. >
