A good friend of mine is upset with me because she left me five voicemail messages in two days and I did not return them until now, upon returning from two days off.

I feel horribly guilty that I wasn't there for her when she needed me . . . even though a little voice keeps whispering, "Why didn't you call my cell phone?"
