Day 10 - A show you thought you wouldn't like but ended up loving
Lots of stuff, but the most recent case of this had to be 'Blood Ties'. So I saw a trailer, and thought ho hum, pretty boy vampire, human female that he's got UST with, and the poor human schmuck that she used to be involved with. I was very much mistaken. Mostly because they really do balance that out really well (okay, so I'm half in love with Det. Mike Carlucci and Vicki Nelson) and they do such clever things with some very cliched supernatural detective tropes. Without giving away to much, I highly recommend their take on the romantically joined souls.
As well as that, Vicki Nelson is every kind of awesome, and then there's Coleen who is goth sidekick done right. And did I mention the Mike Celluci is love. As his police sidekick and the coroner. And Henry isn't all bad, or rather they actually go into exactly how creepy his mind control powers are, and all the bad points to being a vampire.
