In which I complain about cricket journalists
I'm not sure what the more ghoulish sports journalists were expecting Sean Abbot to do. He's a bowler and if he's like most young sportsmen, he's got no back-up career.
I do wonder if it's because I was brought up on motorsport where fatalities are more common, but I wouldn't have expected Abbot to do anything other than keep on bowling. It's why we have sports psychologists and, contrary to what the idiot journalists think, god-awful horrible accidents do happen.
