I like what 'Human Target' did in 'Baptiste'. There's a character who gets introduced as 'new girl' who they met while breaking her previous employer's company so they're trying to get her a new job.

Just the bad guy getting the 'you threw your life away, over a girl!!' speech. And the 'I don't understand you' bit. And assassination being a trade that one can be apprenticed to.

And Guerrero's rather dread cynicism.

Oddly enough I like that Chance is a good guy by choice rather than natural inclination. As opposed to Guerrero, who is occasionally a good guy as a favour.

Covert Affairs continues to be interesting

So Auggie gets bumped upstairs, and leaves Annie with a new tech support officer. Now, for perfectly good reasons, they don't get on, but they work together to the best of their abilities because they're professionals! It's like this show was made for me. Also Auggie and Annie's goodbyes, on account of how, because he'd count as an overt agent and they'd have to see less of each other, particularly outside work. And she's so happy for him, and yet, justifiably upset for herself (because he's her best friend - oddly enough for all that I am an Annie/Auggie 'shipper, I'm just as happy with them being best friends forever).

Plot was blindingly obvious but I've learnt to accept this. It's definitely a character show for me.

Switching tracks entirely to TNA and the first show after Against All Odds,

Ignoring the American football-related nonsense, the main event got me. I think it's because Bully Ray is such an old school heel. He's not cool, he's just an asshole. He's wonderful. (You know what I mean.) And he's up against James Storm, who again is old fashioned, but as a good guy.

And, since Storm's main weapon is his superkick, of course, Bully Ray goes straight for Storm's legs, taking off his wrestling boots and socks, and it's odd, given that all Storm wrestles in is trunks and boots, but taking away his footwear makes him look naked, and vulnerable, and ... damn it, Storm stuffering is kryptonite to me. I start muttering things under my breath like 'get off him'.
