my Jarboe interview
so I interviewed Jarboe for 2 and a half hours tonight, and it was great. she had alot of great things to say, she seems to have connections with a ton of great artists (when someone says they are good friends with Maynard James Keenan, that means something). We spoke about Tricky, about she went to NYC to try to meet with him, because she wanted him for her Men Album, but he might be so spaced on weed that he is hard to get to. She loves him like I do.
Originally I had a bit of doubt about my questions, but it all worked great. We got down to the meaning of several albums, and her subjects are not trite. She is a tremendous artist, and I am extremely happy with the results from our conversation. We both suffered head/face injuries, so we discussed how everyone should have a near death experience, instead of maxing out their credit cards, buying clothes, and being general idiots. I also brought up GG Allin's idea that everyone should spend a mandatory one year in jail, and she understood that as well.
