Kelowna Open is 5 days away...
...and it boasts 10 players with an average rating of 1626. The top 3 are over 1900, including one barely shy of 2000. On the opposite end, one player is playing his first tournament ever, but with cheat sheets and a bit of timely help he beat me in several exhibition games last year! Everyone playing has been told how strong the field is, and all have confirmed their intent to play. Everyone plays each other at least once, nearly all will repeat, and a handful will likely play 3, possibly even 4 times before one comes out the KO champ. There's no other way to put it: this is going to be a bloodbath.
