A Epic Prologue

The hippies man, no one saw it coming. They came to the sixties like hungry dogs to a stake man, it was crazy. They came with a passion. Music, protests, sex, drugs, it was a community man, a community of people who never quite fit in with the “normal” conservative bratty snobs. a community of outcasts. It was a real blast. The best part though, was definitely the music. Hendrix, The Beatles, Cream, The Doors, pink floyd was getting its start, It was a real groovy time. This music was a perfect accent to the summer of love man, ‘67, those were good times.

That was around the time Kole got his start. He came from a pretty liberal, up and coming family, man. They lived in Ithaca, New York, a pretty classy college town where his dad did research for the college. He was one of those intellectuals, real good with plant studies and stuff. Hell, Kole lived in Ithaca all his life, man, and he hated it like the president hates democracy man, it was intense. He was hell bent on getting out of that damn town, and that summer he had his chance.

Kole was a hippie since the day he was born, his hair had been long since he was a child, he loved the out doors, and he loved to adventure. Man he even liked to get lost in the woods for hours, just for fun, waiting for his rents to find him.

He took his first drag off a “J” when he was 13, and man did he like being high. He loved to just take a hit and mellow out to Cream or Hedrix man. Later, he fell in love with the hippie movement, man. It was almost as though he didn't become a hippie, but the hippies became him man. He was a real prodigious dude.

So when he heard that there was a summer festival in San Fran and Hendrix was going to be playing, on his first tour pushing The Experience, he was not gonna give up the chance to go. Man Kole loved Hendrix ever since the first time he dropped the needle on the that LP man, he was passionate, I guess you could say he was smitten, man.

So as was said he fin all y had his chance to go. His uncle lived in San Fransisco, man, and was willing to let Kole and a few friends crash there for a while.

His uncle was a pretty groovy dude, practically a hippie himself except for the fact that he was pretty rich, and didn't get out much. But any way, Kole jumped on the chance to escape man. His friends, Blue Jean Jolene and Crazy Charlie were up for the ride too. Jolene was called that cause she had this tendency to wear blue jeans. She was a pretty boss chick though. And Crazy Charlie got his name basically cause to the “normal” world he was crazy. But to Kole he was a pretty cool and mellow dude, and they had been friends for years man, so it didn't matter. much. Anyway Kole, Charlie and Ol’ Blue Jolene were Itching to go that summer man. Charlie even had a brand new bus, straight from the junk yard man. It was a real groovy bus too, painted with far out colors by Charlie, in one of his fits of artistic obsession. He even replaced the “VW” sign with a peace sign, man he was a real crazy guy.

They were all ready to go man, and one day, at the beginning of the summer, on one of those perfectly clear days that you can only dream about, they left without saying a word.
