The Clockwork Design class was a very small class, and yet θ had sprawled out her 'personal' space to include an entire wall's worth of desks and a table set with a fine china tea set. One of the desks was piled with blankets, it would seem she even frequently -slept- in there.
The brass and riveted teapot, so unsuited to the delicate china of the cups and saucers, was pacing around the table on its odd clockwork legs, ticking quietly as it kept θ's tea warm for her. Even though it was a machine, though, it seemed on edge, especially where the man that had come in with Theta was concerned. If ever a machine was capable of emotions, this teapot was afraid of Ivan.
Tonight, Theta seemed to be quite a bit stressed, her hair uncombed and the tea in her cup gone once again cold. She was terrified of Ivan, and terrified of what would happen to her if he grew annoyed with her. She was working quietly, trying to piece together a machine that would make any unseen connections visible, hoping that doing such a thing would enable her to analyse and thereby sever such connections.
It...wasn't working. Hadn't been working all day ever since he'd finally let them come down to the Workshop. She sighed softly and pushed it away from herself, looking utterly miserable. She needed something to work on that -would- work, she decided; it would cheer her up greatly.
