I am back from vacation! (I had a wonderful time, but I am now sad because I miss my friend. Boo.) I am going to try to catch up on email and LJ today and tomorrow, so there may or may not be a deluge of comments depending on how overwhelmed I feel

Yup, this. I was reading through spoilers last night, completely unaware that this episode was the mid-season break (I hate that about as much as this, btw, if only for the DVD sales) and I was both hurt by all of the people going "OMG, this was so fucking obvious!!!!" and the actual spoiler/what it meant for River/Doctor. Just..ew! Not ok, Moffat, not ok! You've got some seriously screwed up views and if anyone, ever, compares Moffat's Who to Classic Who again I will throw something. No, wait, I'll let Tegan do some "oh-no-you-didn't" eye glare, Nyssa take up a blaster of some kind, and Five facepalm (sorry, still in my Five run. Got to non-stewardess Tegan though! Love the hair! :D).
Totally done with Moffat. I'm waiting for the spoilers to see if the series is worth finishing. Plus, Amy and the whole kid being taken away? Um...yeah, not ok.

I also feel like massive spoilers like this are supposed to make people go all "Of course!" or "It's all starting to make sense!" or "That blows my mind!" but hearing this just made me go. "Huh, that's mildly ridiculous and kind of gross." (And you know he has more plot twists lurking in there. It's not enough that she is someone's long lost daughter, someone else's future lover and has special powers? I feel like each subsequent "twist" makes it more boring instead of more exciting)
Also, it would have been kind of cool if River had secretly been a.) the Doctor b.) the Master c.) Jack d.) the TARDIS e.)secretly a bad guy f.) totally misdirecting them, etc. I'd say I feel cheated, but I wasn't really expecting too much.
Classic Who wins by 1000% for sure!
