My computer bluescreened AGAIN.
And apparently it's a vague error message that's supposed to be a RAM problem, but hey, it could be the hard disk too. Or maybe the motherboard. Oh, or my processor. INTERNET YOU ARE NOT BEING HELPFUL. I also leave on a work trip in a few hours so I won't get to look at it until this weekend. At least I just finished up those manips yesterday, otherwise I would be very upset since I was saving to the desktop as I was working. As it is, I don't think I backed up Rose/Reinette- I think it's still on the desktop. Bother.
I might just give up and replace the motherboard and processor. And possibly upgrade from XP so I can use all of the extra RAM which I just recently found out isn't actually being used (whoops). Though now my RAM might be shot, so who knows if I'll even be able to use it?
My onboard sound card died a few months ago, my power supply shortly before that, and I just replaced my (literally blown out) video card a month ago. I'm starting to feel like it's held together with shoelaces and chewing gum. IT'S ONLY 4 YEARS OLD. My very first computer lasted, like 8. WTF? Now I'm wondering if there's something wrong with my surge protectors. But I'm pretty such the MB would have gone first if that's the case. ARGH.
Sorry, LJ. I know this isn't a very important problem, but you are my repository for bitching about my constant computer breakdowns.
holy shit no one cares,
fail,
at least my laptop loves me
