Bring back Jo and Ellen, bring back Tamara, give us a female hunter, whatever, but seriously. I was thinking that same damned thing when I watched this episode last night (during the debates). Especially with Jo & Ellen. They were FANTASTIC! And we have no fucking clue what really has happened to them since (hell, Jo could have been killed last episode, theoretically, and we'd have no idea!).
Garren will be pleased to know that they're taking the Lucifer route-- he's been speculating since Lilith came on how they'd go up the ladder (so to speak). In the "who is more evil, more bad, and how do they compare" kind of way.
I was kind of hoping that if they took the religious angle, that perhaps they'd go with multiple religions (which they still could)... they did introduce Loki afterall, which is a nod to Norse mythology/ancient religion. But it'd be fun to see Vishnu or Kali.
I really want to know where Jo is. And what happened to Ellen after the season 2 finale.
I hope they do go with multiple religions. I think that would go a long way toward relieving a lot of my anxiety about the religious approach. And it would just be cool - though it might be more complicated since you have to be so much more cautious with religions that aren't the dominant one. I think it's even more important then to be sure that they're treated with respect.
Jess occurred to me too and that would have been really cool, but it didn't seem to me like this was the episode where they should be pulling out the big guns. I would love to see Jess again - and I think we need to - but I want them to save it for when it will have maximum surprise and angst potential. I think Sam needs to get a little darker first.
