i was looking . . just couldn't really be affording . . . but sometimes a deal comes along and you just HAVE to make it happen . . . ;)
got a call a few weeks ago . . . "See, there's this Magna . . beautiful bike . . has saddlebags, windshield, backrest, highway pegs, plus, plus, plus . . you must have this bike"
oh, do i? i see ;) well then . . i think i have to see this bike!
so a few days later, pictures arrived in my email . . "Here it is! it's an '02, a 750, has everything you'll ever need in a bike . . only 5000 miles on it . . he bought it, decked it out, then found a bike his wife liked riding on the back of better . . so . . what'cha think?"

ok . . i can do that . . and i hatched a plan . . .
i called my Dad . . and i just went straight to the point . . "Dad, there's a bike i'm looking to buy . . it's a deal i cannot pass up . . has this, and that . . worth this much, but for sale for this much . . it is, for all intents and purposes, brand new . . and i'm wondering if you might loan me the money to buy it . . . . . "
"Sure" he says . . . just like that . . oh, i was giddy!
now, i'll have to sell my Rebel to be able to pay him back . . and i've already promised him next years tax refund . . and he's cool with that payment schedule ;) . . works for me too! . . as much as i'd love to keep the Rebel, i have neither the room, or the paycheck to let me insure and plate two bikes . .
so . . i canceled my trips to Mid-Ohio and Dayton this july and august . . instead, i'm still going to take the last weekend of July off and head down to Georgia to pick this up!
