Summary: Rebound Relationship is a term use in which a person becomes overly quick to commit to a new partner after having experienced an upsetting breakup. Jaejoong becomes a victim of Rebound Relationship after Yunho, his bestfriend since they were young, asked Jaejoong to be his boyfriend after his long time girlfriend, Tiffany, broke up with him. Yunho will use Jaejoong to forget his past. Will this kind of relationship work out or it will just ruin the friendship they had built over the years?
First Date
It’s already three in the afternoon when Jaejoong got back to his company. Some of their employees were on break including Hyuna. He went to his office and was about to open the door when he heard familiar voices from inside. He opened it immediately, his face lit up with a smile seeing the three people who all turned to look at him when the door opened. Junsu, Changmin, and Hyuna stood up and smiled back before asking him if he wanted to eat.
"How was the meeting?" Hyuna asked. She preferred to stay in the office since President Kim Siwon's secretary was already there to assist her boss.
"You would not believe me if I tell you how it was!" Jaejoong exaggerated as he took a bite of shrimp tempura the three brought in his office.
"What?" They all asked in unison.
"A miracle happened earlier at the meeting. You wouldn’t believe me! I swear!" Jaejoong continued.
"Miracle? What kind of miracle? A miracle like your dad gave you millions of dollars as pocket money?" Changmin guessed.
"No, a much bigger miracle than that!"
"Your mom is pregnant and you're going to be a big brother?" Junsu guessed.
"No! I know my mom is still young and can still be pregnant but she loves me too much to even get pregnant." Jaejoong reasoned. "I will give you a clue then, this is related to Yunho and to the new General Manager of their company." he smiled.
"Related? Does Uncle Kangin have an illegitimate son and now that son is the new General Manager of Jung Airlines Corporation?" Junsu said.
"And then, maybe because Yunho is useless to the family, the other son is now the favorite." Changmin continued.
"NO!" Jaejoong pulled his hair in frustration. "Hyuna, you guess since these two are so stupid!"
"Well, I have an idea but I think that would never happen." Hyuna said.
"Try it!" Hyuna started laughing without even starting to say a word.
"Yunho is now the new General Manager of their company." Then Hyuna laughed even louder than before.
Changmin and Junsu joined the fun and laughed as well since that was the funniest thing that Hyuna has ever said. That was a big joke to them, Yunho was working? Working their ass! He would just go clubbing, drink, and flirt with girls since he was already single. Hyuna, Junsu, and Changmin wiped their tears on their cheeks because of laughing so hard when they noticed that Jaejoong was smiling at them.
"What's wrong with you?" Junsu asked his friend.
"You guys already got the answer." Jaejoong continued to smile sweetly at them, clearly enjoying their stunned expressions as he continued eating tempura.
"You mean Hyuna's joke was true? That Yunho was now the new General Manager? Gosh! Jaejoong, stop joking around." Changmin said between fits of laughter but Jaejoong just looked at them seriously. His face said it all, that he was telling them the truth.
"Oh Gosh Jae! You are not serious, right? That was just a joke!" Hyuna said.
"Well, I'm not joking."
"So..." Changmin looked at Junsu, then to Hyuna, then back to Jaejoong. "Yunho... as in, JUNG YUNHO is the new General Manager of Jung Airlines Corporation? How come?" Changmin asked in disbelief.
"I don't know. I was totally shocked, like you guys, earlier at the meeting. I didn't expect to see him there." Jaejoong explained.
"Well... there's something fishy happening right now." Changmin said rubbing his chin with his right hand as if in deep thoughts.
"Maybe this is something related to Tiffany?" Junsu said out of the blue and Changmin nodded, but Hyuna didn't agree when she saw her boss' face stiffened.
"Is there something wrong, Jaejoong?" Hyuna carefully asked as she walked over him.
"Actually... I still have something that I want to tell everyone." Jaejoong lowered his head.
"Is it something serious? Is it related to Tiffany?" Junsu asked carelessly and Hyuna mentally face-palmed.

"I'm dating Yunho." Jaejoong repeated, shutting up Junsu’s and Changmin’s mouth. "He became my boyfriend last night." he continued.
"That... was... fast." Hyuna said.
"Are you sure that you're not a rebound?" Changmin was the only one who reacted with calm voice.
"It's not even a month since Tiffany broke up with him." Junsu continued.
"So what? Maybe Yunho finally realized that he loves Jaejoong, not Tiffany." Hyuna countered.
"He loves Jaejoong more than Tiffany? Are you trying to make a joke? We all know what was happening to him these past few weeks." Changmin debated.
"I agree with Changmin. He was devastated... always wasted... and he even planned to kill himself even if Jaejoong’s with him!" Junsu said.
"We couldn’t deny those things that happened already... but can't you guys accept that maybe after all those things, he finally realized that Jaejoong was the one he really loves? Or maybe that he was the reason why he was now working at Jung Airlines Corporation?" Hyuna said, trying to emphasize her point.
"No, YOU are the one who couldn't get the point. That was an upsetting break up and then suddenly he is now in a relationship? That is totally rebound relationship!" Changmin contradicted.
"Wait! Let me borrow your laptop, Jaejoong." Junsu took the gadget and typed something then showed it to all of them.

When Jaejoong got home after work, butler Lee Seunggi gave him a big box and said that Yunho sent it. He thanked the butler and went to his room with the big box.
He opened the box and saw its contents. There was a black and white set of tuxedo, black leather boots, gray contact lenses that would surely look good on him, and a red velvet box with a Cartier ring.
He tried out everything except the Cartier ring since he wanted to ask Yunho first what it was for. He couldn't just wear a ring without knowing its meaning
He went out of the house and met Sunggyu who was waiting for him for the restaurant drive. The driver opened the back seat door for him.

Yunho arrived at the restaurant an hour earlier than the set time. No one could guess how excited he was to finally be able to date Jaejoong for real. People might think that he was only using Jaejoong to forget Tiffany but they were wrong. He finally realized at the night of Jaejoong's confession that he loves him too since they were young.
He thought he only loved him just as a friend would. As they grew up those feelings were silenced, he became too blind to see it because of Tiffany. He admits that he was so in love to Tiffany that he almost ruined his life after the break up but thinking of Jaejoong leaving him because of it is another thing. Tiffany made him lose the will to live, but if it’s Jaejoong who’d leave him, Yunho would just kill himself.
Now, Jaejoong was his life. He was the sole reason he was trying to change. He wanted to be approved by Siwon for his Jaejoong. He promises himself that he would never make Jaejoong cry again. If he sheds a tear, it would be because of happiness, nothing more nothing less.
"Wow!" Yunho whispered when he saw Jaejoong walking down the stairs towards their table. He was in shock seeing how gorgeous Jaejoong could be if he wears the right things. Why he didn't he notice it before?

"I bought this ring for you." Yunho slowly inserted the shiny metal on Jaejoong’s ring finger. "To tell everyone that you're mine. I want to show the world how proud I am to be your boyfriend. I want to show them how much I love you." Yunho explained making Jaejoong shed tears of happiness.

Yunho encircled his arms around Jaejoong's tiny waist while the other one snaked his arms around his boyfriend's neck. The music was so slow, sensual and Jaejoong's face was buried at Yunho's chest. He could clearly hear how fast Yunho's heart was beating. Jaejoong looked up to find Yunho staring at him lovingly.
"Yunnie... thank you." Jaejoong said sincerely. He was saying thank you to his boyfriend for loving him back but Yunho shook his head.
"No... thank you." Yunho said. He was the one should be thankful, because without Jaejoong, he wouldn’t be where he was now. Everything that happened to his life was all because of his sweet boyfriend, Jaejoong. "I love you." Yunho whispered on his ears, making Jaejoong shiver at the intensity and honesty of his words. They were wrong. He was not a rebound after all.
