Portland Labor Day - Day 1
I'll make my update on the Portland Labor Day tournament quick since I'm tired and I need some sleep. I went in this morning expecting to be stuck in division 3, but just before we get started Ruth comes by and asks if I'd be interested in playing up. I say "Heck yeah!", pay my $5, and I'm up in division 2, the 28th seed out of 28 people. I lost my first game with lots of messy play, but then went on to win my next 5 games. Yee-haw! I lost the last 2, but 5-3 with a spread of +346 isn't such a bad first day of the tournament. We'll see what tomorrow brings!!
