I've been MIA as we get through pre-Christmas stuff. I'm procrastinating much-needed housework at the moment but about to get onto it. I stop in and have a quick read of my f-pages here and on LJ once in awhile but not as often as I'd like right now, and I haven't been around for almost a week and have a lot of comments to leave!
I'm doing pretty well. I am still enjoying the temp role I'm in (despite some frustrating days). I'm working on a Viking Knit piece for a contest, due 30/12 so have been trying to do that as well as start getting my Christmas cards together.
Things have been slow at Craftworld, I expected Nov to be busier for us as the manager last year said Nov was pretty busy. We're still really quiet and not making many sales yet this year compared to last year. Fingers crossed people are holding off on shopping because we rely on Dec sales to really bring in the money for the rent and materials that we don't make the rest of the year. C is working on a website, that should help some in addition to our Felt site.
We visited with some friends last night and I really really had a good time. It was nice to see one person, J, we hadn't seen in years. I went to our work Christmas party the night before and left early. I realise I'm +40, but is it too much to ask to have a semi-quieter area outside the main venue to be able to catch up with people? This was a company-wide party and I don't go to dance to extremely loud (think concert-level, seriously) music. I go to see people I haven't seen in years and since even talking at a yell was out of the question I just left. People were having fun and it was neat to see all the fancy rock/music-themed costumes.
Well, I better move so I can get to house work and then maybe even get to some Christmas cards!! Holiday blessings to you all.
