Usually I drop the dough into the boiling chicken and veg stew, but since I used the slow cooker I dropped the dough into a pot with some of the stew's juices instead. It's hard to tell from the photo but the dough kind of puffs up a bit.
While I'm doing that, the chook and veg merrily hung out together in the slowcooker. This is before I chopped up the chicken so you see the 2 boneless breasts boiling away. (Note, I'd removed a good amount of the juice to be able to boil the dough. There had been more stew juice in there until I put it in the pot)
When the dough was cooked (about 20 to 30 minutes on low heat), I added it back to the slow cooker to cook together for a little longer. You can see the shredded/chopped chicken in this one.
