I also like this one, a lot! I love the fence, it make you feel like you're invading the alley's space by spying on it. You have a very good eye. I have a question, do you have that "good eye" all the time or does it "appear" when you have the camera in your hands?

Well now it all makes sense, how when you look at an icon or a/w you see more than just the icon or a/w you see the swirls, color, light shading etc. I am not always observant about details and my boss is very observant, he has taught me a lot but there is just so much you can learn. I think it is better if you already have that good eye.
P.S. I posted my Tara banner, if you get a chance take a look.

Oh gosh thank you! I'm flattered that you think I truly have an eye

I think it is better if you already have that good eye.

But it's taken years to develop of course, and I'm still learning! It's really no different than learning to use any tool (the camera, for instance) except you literally take it with you everywhere you go and has no on/off switch.

I didn't truly appreciate abstract art in general, for instance, until my sweetie went to a classical art school and I saw a lot of mediocre to middling realist or representational paintings. When I was a teenager my favorite artist was Renoir; I loved high Victorian with all it's frills. My tastes have refined a bit, I think.

What I lack, as I mentioned, is a sense of the greater whole, the overall "plot" if you will. I hope to be able to develop that too.

ETA: What is "a/w" , btw?
