Jobhunt 2008
Well I went in for a 3rd interview. This interview was fairly short and the gentlemen that I interviewed with were wearing ties. So I think I they are down to final choices - or they just wanted to meet with me to get a personal vibe before the offer.
It went well I think, mostly non-tech stuff, them asking me about myself and me asking them a bit about what the position was and what they were working towards. The only reason I think they have already decided on me is that ( a ) the timing of the interview and ( b ) the senior manager kinda let slip something to the effect of "the HR person will be in touch with you short to discuss salary and benefits" at the end of the interview as we left the building.
Its a little scary in that it would be me basically taking over 1/2 - 3/4 of the existing server base and assisting the current admin with plans as they expand. Maybe not the big time, but big enough and high enough tight rope to walk.
I can do it / can learn it - I know myself that well. Just that butterflies-in-the-stomach sensation.
