Finally an update

Okay, its been waaayyy tooo long since I put something in here. But August has been a busy month. Mostly its been hot - actually its been damn' f*cking hot except for the last few days. Helped Rob and Shan move earlier this month at the same time that my office got moved.

The new office furniture is nice - bigger cubicle, things set to my height and a NEW CHAIR (yeah me!) Unfortunately at some point we will have to move out again because, they still need to re-do the floors. So we will have to move out again for two weeks sometime in the future. So it will be work from home for a when ever that happens (I'm not holding my breath)

As for shoulder? Well its fine now - no further problems but I need to get on the stick. I admit I've been slacking on exercises for it. Really I know I need to exercise more but the whole - only so many hours in a day and getting up off my ass is sometimes hard to do when other things yammer for my attention.

Speaking of other things, Patch 10 for City of Heroes / City of Villains was really good. Gave the game a new kind of Epic flavor which had been missing. I was a touch p*ssed when they stopped it after only 10 days. Come on guys - like a alien race from another dimension is gonna spend 3 years rebuilding their invasion fleet to finish the job, and then call it all off after 10 days "Well George... we gave it our best shot - but the though we'd have them beat by now. I guess we pack it all up and come home. Who's up for ice cream?"

Other than City of Heroes / City of Villains for Gaming - well not much I can comment on ;)

I've been working here and there on expanding my knowledge of Linux. So far it has been a lot of fun - constantly surprised at what it can do and how easily. If I could just get it to play some of my Windows only games I would be VERY tempted to wave good bye to windows completely (so long and screw you very much Mr. Gates)

Now to get pumped up for doing the Great Plains Renaissance Faire at the end of September. Been thinking about purchasing a "portable" gazebo for the faire and our back deck. It would make the deck much more enjoyable and make a good food service tent for the faire. I say "portable" because while it can be broken down into components it is self-supporting and looks to be pretty stout. I think it would survive a Kansas wind storm
I'll post a picture when I can of it.

That's it for now - try to post more often (really honest)
