The effort continues
I just sent an e-mail to MoveOn that should allow for some interesting networking with other movements similar to our Bollweevil Army, as bollweevil1 calls the movement.
Yesterday Kalisa, Sarah and I were deputized as voter registrars, and at lunch we established our first long term goal; the mayoral election of 2006 will see someone of our choosing put in place, with the ousting at last of McDougal, would be Duke of the Panhandle. We will also claim any other city council seats that we can. Ultimately we want the school board as well.
The inner workings of the universe are absolutely maddening. At the elections and voter registration office, we bumped into a woman that had just arrived in Lubbock the night before. Randomly, she had been sent here by the Democrat National Convention to organize, based on statistics, and establish an effort for voter registration as well. She was confused and thought we were there to meet her, I think some college students had gotten hold of her or something, but she took down our information and said she would contact us about doing some work for this new Democrat campaign. We shall see what this development can do for the movement.
