Had my first job offer a while back...turned it down today. Now I'm experiencing serious inner turmoil because it's looking increasingly likely that there won't be any other job offers for public schools within driving distance from here, despite the fact that I applied to 14 separate school districts and 2 local education agencies. This time next year I could be a Starbucks barista...
I woke up at 5:15 this morning and drove an hour away for a grueling day-long session of Praxis exams, including my national certification exam. Fundamental Subjects was insultingly easy, but the speech/language ones were...not. My friend and I were a little morose on the drive home. Part of me doesn't think it's worth the $200 to retake the damn things if I didn't pass.
Also, Monday = end of Spring Break. This weekend has been rough.
