Costuming plans for 2011
Guess I should get this up here. Everything's tentative at the moment, of course (except Katsu, unless I can't finish for some reason).
Katsucon: Sterkenberg Cranch, Atelier Rorona. Yup, I'm finally making an Atelier costume. I was originally ging to make Roxis, but I'm not clear on some parts of him, and Rorona's a newer game.
Some interesting detailing around the top and bottom of the officer coat, but other than that, it's relatively simple. Full cloak, too.
ACen: Reimu Hakurei, Koumajou Densetsu Scarlet Symphony. Much more tentative, because it is considerably more complex. Tight-fitting tunic-style dress underneath (black, with a yellow ribbon), and then an EPIC arrangement of outer garb. I think I have a handle on the fleur-de-lise patterns she has (I'm going to go with sculpy, rather than trying to find a metal die, which is my first choice), but I still have to figure out the sleeves. Maybe I'll talk to Evies about that, she did a good job with hers at Otakon...
If I can't do this....who knows. I'll figure something out.
Oh, and I've a comission for Alice Margatroid, for whom I've the fabric already.
Otakon: Gilgamesh Wulfenbach, Girl Genius. Another one I've wanted to make for a while. Mostly because he's awesome.
Is there anyone out there who'd be willing to be Agatha to my Gil?
I've a couple of other thoughts bouncing around in my head, but nothing concrete yet - not that these plans are definites, at this stage of the game. Maybe something from Tactics Ogre, for example...
I'm going to keep older stuff in the rotation too: Canas certainly deserves more con time, and I'd like to get more use out of Mokou and Youki as well. Akihiko, even if just for Megaten shoots, isn't going into storage. As for the others....I've retired Cecil, with good reason (actually, I scrapped him). Draco's for special occasions only, and I want to make some additions to him. Cid and Apollo and Bard I'll whip out if there's reason to. Balthier needs some repairs, as does Caesar. Finally, I started on refurbishing Ran this weekend.
